Role & responsibilities

Experience:

  • Develop, write, and optimize NC/CNC programs using CAM software .
  • Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to create machining strategies.
  • Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and machining processes.
  • Simulate and verify programs to detect errors before releasing to production.
  • Coordinate with production, tooling, and quality departments for smooth workflow.
  • Modify existing programs to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and ensure quality.
  • Maintain records of all programs and revisions.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure machine performance and program accuracy
  • Provide technical support for machine operators and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure all safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the programming process.

Technical Skillset

  • Understanding of GD&T and machining tolerances
  • Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes & inspection methods of various products.
  • Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations.
  • Proficient in CATIA
  • Experience with multi-axis machining (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis preferred)

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in mechanical/production engineering
