Location: Bangalore (Onsite)

Qualification: Postgraduate in Commerce/Finance or CA Inter completed

Experience: 1 to 3 years in Indirect Tax (IDT)

Probation Period: 6 months

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Remuneration: ₹4 - ₹7 LPA (excluding probation period) + company allowances

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Tax Associate I to join our Indirect Tax (IDT) team in Bangalore. This role is designed for professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience in IDT , tax compliance, and reconciliation. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in reviewing and finalizing IDT filings, performing reconciliations, managing tax data, and liaising with clients for compliance-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Indirect Tax (IDT) Compliance & Filings:

  • Review and finalize GST filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in complex IDT return preparations , including reconciliations and audits.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax-related documents and filings.

2. Tax Reconciliation & Data Management:

  • Conduct detailed IDT reconciliations for financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze discrepancies in tax reports and take corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update IDT-related data in internal systems for audit and compliance purposes.

3. Reporting & Review Processes:

  • Prepare, review, and finalize tax reports for submission to senior management.
  • Identify areas of tax risks and suggest process improvements for efficiency.
  • Assist in tax planning strategies and regulatory interpretations.

4. Client & Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Act as a primary liaison between clients and the internal tax team for IDT-related matters.
  • Collect and validate client tax documents , ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Address client queries related to tax filings, assessments, and reconciliations.

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Strong knowledge of Indirect Tax laws (GST, VAT, etc.) and compliance procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for tax calculations and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and report presentations.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to handle tax discrepancies.
  • Ability to interpret tax laws and regulations and apply them effectively in filings and reconciliations.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to tax compliance and financial accuracy.
