Corporate Tax Senior Associate – Leading Proptech Company, Bangalore

Job Summary: A leading Proptech company is looking to hire a Chartered Accountant with expertise in Corporate Tax having 1+ years of experience post qualification. The role will involve overseeing various aspects of taxation, including TDS review, tax audits, month-end entries, and income tax notices.

Company Profile: A leading Proptech company assisting property owners to directly buy properties from land lords / owners. The company has raised over 300 million USD in over 8 rounds of funding.

Location: Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru

Designation: Corporate Tax Senior Associate

The selected Candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • TDS Review & Finalization: Oversee the review, calculation, and finalization of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) for the organization, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with tax laws.
  • Tax Audit Closure: Manage and ensure the successful completion of tax audits within deadlines. Review the financial statements, ensuring they meet legal and regulatory standards.
  • Month-End Entries: Handle month-end accounting processes including preparation and posting of journal entries for tax-related adjustments and compliance.
  • Income Tax Notice Submissions: Address and submit necessary documents in response to income tax notices and represent the company before tax authorities, ensuring timely resolution of any tax-related queries.
  • Business Analysis & Tax Applicability: Conduct analysis of business operations to identify tax implications, opportunities for tax savings, and ensure appropriate tax applications are made to optimize the financial structure.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act and other statutory regulations relevant to the company's operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations, ensuring that the company is always in compliance and can take advantage of any beneficial changes in tax legislation.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Income Tax laws, TDS regulations, tax audit procedures, and financial accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end accounting processes and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with business taxation and tax-planning strategies.
  • Ability to manage and guide a small team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with tax authorities and senior management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, SAP, or equivalent).

Education: Chartered Accountant with minimum experience of 1+ year.

Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in corporate tax

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Salary: Competitive salary package
