Roles &Responsibilities: 1. Vendor Development &Management
Responsible for management ofvendor database induction of new vendors to promotecompetitiveness
Manage vendors their performance andrelated parameters
Scan the market and identifyappropriate vendors using network media etc
Provideinputs for selection of vendors during the prequalificationstage
2. Rate Analysis& BOQ
Participate in cost estimation rateanalysis contract terms & conditions
Reviewquotations from local suppliers in each regional site withassistance from project team and consultants
Conductcomparative rate analysis between selected vendors & the localmarket negotiate for better terms to prepare a costeffective BOQDevelopment and maintenance of a generic BOQ with standardcosts
3. Negotiationand Tender Finalization
Monitor and review thetendering process and also conduct such processes for high volumepurchases.
Guide the team to ensure preparation ofdetailed tender document and provide support forfinalization
Guide the project team for appropriateunderstanding of terms & conditions in the commercialenquiry floated
Monitor and/or conduct the tenderevaluation process (technical and commercial evaluation) and workclosely with the project team technical & finance in orderto ensure accuracy of tenders floated and detailed evaluation toenable choice of the right vendor
Consolidation ofrepetitive items for different projects negotiate and finalize termagreements for achieving economies of scale
4. ContractAdministration/Management
Assist Project Teamin providing justifications and rationale of negotiated price forthe purpose of change order note
Expediting and followup for timely delivery of capital equipment
5. Compliance &Audits
Adherence to Systems &Processes
Assist C&P team to identify gaps &point out areas of improvement required
