Role details:
Title / Designation : Procurement Leader Reporting to : Managing Director Location: ChennaiRole & responsibilities:
Develop inventive and cost-effective procurement strategies. Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms. Review existing contracts to ensure ongoing feasibility. Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers. Approve purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements. Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term cost-saving. Oversee and manage IT systems tracking shipments, inventory, and supply of goods. Prepare procurement reports.Candidate requirements:
Proven experience in procurement leadership roles, with a minimum of 14 years of experience. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors. Proficiency in managing procurement budgets and promoting cost-saving initiatives. Experience in risk assessment and contract management. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Familiarity with IT systems for procurement managementSelection process:
