Work you’ll doIn our Transaction Advisory team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. Your roles and responsibilities will be as follows:Developing an understanding of the business, competitive positioning, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, challenges etc. of the target businessAssess data accuracy and reasonableness and follow-up directly with clients and third-parties appropriately to achieve necessary understanding and to resolve anomaliesPerforming financial analysis on data provided and arriving at conclusions / identifying issuesInterpretation, evaluation and analysis of information memoranda, business plans, publicly available information on the target businessAssume near independent responsibility for smaller clientsDevelop rapport with middle layers of client managementProduction of quality deliverables (including Excel and PowerPoint documents) within agreed timescales, briefing Director/Senior Manager/Manager accordingly. This will include:Review and analysis of historical trading, cash flow and balance sheetsReview and analysis of projections, and underlying assumptionsEvaluate the operating trends, quality of earnings, maintainability of EBITDA, working capital& cash flows considerations, potential liabilitiesIdentifying key issues related to deal, assessing their impact on valuation/ price consideration and advising on ways to address the issuesUnderstand the concept of risk management and assist the Managers/ supervisors in completing the internal risk proceduresSupport knowledge sharing efforts and improve processes so that the all teams can capture and leverage knowledgeNetwork internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact issues with his clientsWork on variety of deals ranging from IPO’s to large cross border transactions across different industry verticalsWork as a part of cross border teams on engagements lasting from just a few days to several monthsTo assist clients ranging from large multinationals, private equity houses and VC firms to owner managed businesses.”QualificationsChartered Accountant (qualified in first or second attempt preferred) with good academic background and relevant post qualification work experienceTransaction experience/exposure would be an advantageKnowledge of IFRS would be an added advantageStrong report writing skills, with an appropriate focus on attention to detailStrong analytical skills with proficiency in using MS-Excel to process and analyze large volume of dataStrong commercial acumen and market awarenessBe highly flexible, adaptable, and creativeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsYour role as a leaderAt Deloitte India, we believe in the importance of leadership at all levels.
