Job Title : Vice President - Account Management (Digital)

Location : Udyog Vihar, Phase-5, Gurugram

Experience : From 12 to 16 years of client servicing experience in digital marketing agencies, integrated ad agencies, mainstream advertising, new media, marketing, creative or similar roles within mainline or digital agencies. ( Experience from other industries will not be considered for this position )

Job Purpose:

  • The primary objective of this role is to provide strategic recommendations and effectively manage all resources to meet the client’s marketing needs. The individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding and articulating client business insights to propose strategies that drive business forward. This includes leading and overseeing day-to-day activities, proactively identifying new business opportunities, managing, motivating, and developing the team, and collaborating with other departments to implement strategies that enhance the client’s business.
  • A strong passion and experience in championing and producing engaging, business-driving creative content and digital advertising across a fully integrated channel mix is essential.
  • This role requires a courteous, positive, high-energy individual with excellent people skills. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of leading teams to achieve client goals. Attention to detail is crucial, ensuring that all tasks are managed effectively and nothing is overlooked.

Key Accountabilities

Run the Business Cluster:

  • Manage a cluster of client businesses and teams, equivalent to overseeing an agency branch.
  • Deliver the service proposition to clients and manage the full scope of business operations for individual clients.
  • Maintain oversight of team workflows and project knowledge without being involved in the day-to-day details.
  • Direct teams to deliver effectively and manage the P&L for the cluster, forecasting operational income on a weekly basis to senior management.

Key Escalation Point:

  • Act as the main point of escalation for the client concerning team-related issues, providing solutions with a positive attitude and problem-solving approach.

Relationship Management:

  • Own the client relationships as per the defined strategy, confidently interact with clients, and challenge them when necessary while maintaining a positive relationship. Negotiate win-win compromises on behalf of team members when needed.

Proactively Identify Client Development Opportunities:

  • Identify and flag specific opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to clients.

Commercial and Service Ownership:

  • Ensure seamless delivery and profitability of client accounts by managing service levels and financial outcomes.

Team Management:

  • Manage, motivate, and mentor the team in client management, growth, and success.
  • Encourage teams to add value to clients, challenge conventional briefs, and deliver outstanding creative work.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-level client service. Guide and develop team members, demonstrating excellent communication skills to inspire and identify potential.

Professional Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a client servicing role with a focus on digital marketing.
  • Strong grasp of digital platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Experience in leading teams of over 10 people is ideal .
  • Proven track record of working with large clients is essential.
  • Strong understanding of commercial account management, processes, and P&L.
  • Gravitas and the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior clients, fostering trust in our services.
  • A team player with a client-centric focus and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with team members and colleagues.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
