Job Description: Academic Coordinator

Position Overview

The Academic Coordinator will provide clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day academic operations. The role involves maintaining records, coordinating class schedules, assisting faculty, and supporting students with routine academic requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and updating timetables, attendance records, and exam schedules.
  • Maintain academic files, student records, and documentation as per university norms.
  • Provide clerical support for organizing classes, labs, seminars, and academic events.
  • Act as a point of contact for students regarding routine academic queries.
  • Support faculty with circulation of notices, preparation of study material, and exam coordination.
  • Assist in compiling data and reports required for audits, accreditation, and compliance.

Key Skills

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in any discipline.
  • 24 years of clerical/administrative experience, preferably in an academic environment.
