Overview :  The Head of Academic Operations plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational direction and academic excellence of the institution. This leadership position requires a visionary and strategic thinker who can drive innovation in curriculum design, foster a dynamic learning environment, and enhance the overall educational experience for students. The Head of Academics will collaborate with faculty, administration, and industry partners to ensure the programs align with industry needs and global standards.


Responsibilities :


1. Academic Leadership:


- Provide visionary leadership to the academic team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.


- Develop and implement a strategic academic plan aligned with the mission and objectives.


2. Curriculum Development and Enhancement:


- Oversee the design, development, and review of curriculum to ensure relevance, currency, and alignment with industry trends.


- Introduce innovative teaching methodologies, technology integration, and experiential learning opportunities.


3. Faculty Management:


- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive academic community.


- Facilitate professional development initiatives to enhance teaching effectiveness and research capabilities.


4. Quality Assurance:


- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure academic programs meet accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.


- Conduct regular program reviews and assessments to drive continuous improvement.


5. Student Engagement and Success:


- Foster a student-centric learning environment that promotes engagement, retention, and overall academic success.


- Implement support mechanisms to address student needs and enhance the student learning experience.


6. Industry Collaboration:


- Establish and nurture relationships with industry leaders to ensure programs are aligned with current business needs and trends.


- Collaborate with industry partners for guest lectures, internships, and placement opportunities.


7. Research and Publications:


- Encourage and support faculty research activities, promoting a culture of academic scholarship.


- Facilitate the publication of research findings in reputable journals and industry publications.


8. Resource Management:


- Optimize the allocation of resources, including faculty, facilities, and technology, to support academic initiatives.


- Develop and manage the academic budget in collaboration with the administration.


9. Innovative Program Initiatives:


- Identify opportunities for new program development and collaborate with stakeholders to bring innovative programs to fruition.


- Stay abreast of emerging trends in business education and integrate them into the academic offerings.


10. Community Engagement:


- Represent the business school in academic and professional forums, building networks and partnerships with other institutions, businesses, and relevant organizations.


Qualifications :


1. Significant academic leadership experience, preferably in a business school setting.


2. Strong understanding of accreditation processes and academic quality assurance.


3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.


4. Proven ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.


5. Demonstrated commitment to innovation in curriculum design and delivery.


6. A track record of successful faculty recruitment, development, and management.


7. Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to align academic programs with current business needs.
