Role: Associate Consultant / Consultant (Strategy & Transactions) Primary Responsibilities Become familiar with project(s) (objectives, scope, workflows, deadlines) at kick-off and engage with US/NYC-side team on a regular basis Conduct primary and secondary research in a time-bound manner Identify key insights, recommendations, opportunities, and threats to inform corporate and BD strategies Develop market sizing and revenue forecast models at a product and company level Develop slides or memos effectively communicating results of analyses Prepare material for project meetings and manage team members as required Assist in developing proposals, pitchbooks, dossiers and lead trackers Regularly engage with senior internal stakeholders and effectively manage upward Demonstrate accountability for completion and high-quality delivery of all assigned responsibilities

Engage with clients regularly in various ways (e.g., weekly updates, workshops, interim / final presentations) Desired Experience and Skills In-depth understanding of the US biopharma industry and healthcare ecosystem Fluency with corporate finance concepts and financial modeling Expert-level proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel Understanding of clinical trial phases and its impact on strategic decision-making Demonstrated ability to integrate scientific, business and industry knowledge in developing creative solutions for clients Willingness and ability to read complex scientific material and distill key insights Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrate mature structured thinking Excellent written and oral communication skills Solid time and people management skills; demonstrate high functioning efficiency Demonstrated ability to work in team environment Proactive and entrepreneurial in spirit Experience using proprietary pharma databases Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree(s) (PhD, MBA, MS, BPharm/MPharm, MPH); life sciences educational background is a must 3-5 years of prior biopharma consulting experience OR 3-5 years of biopharma industry experience in roles like portfolio planning, corporate strategy or business development US/EU life sciences knowledge and exposure Note : This role will involve working with the US/NY team and will entail working partial overlap hours with US time zones at least a few days every week (work timing flexibility is provided); prior demonstrated success working in such environments is a plus What we can offer you: Steep learning curve working on interesting and challenging projects across our clients’ products, portfolios, and organizations Projects from biotech startups to multinational pharmaceutical corporations Supportive environment to learn and grow, regardless of your skill and knowledge level Being empowered to drive your development, own your work, and manage your time from day one Hybrid office and home working model (depending on project schedules) Structured onboarding program to help you learn basic consulting skills Support for your developmental journey with a: Peer-level buddy to help you navigate your way around Blue Matter and share their experiences Senior-level NY-based career coach to support your overall professional development and career progression Senior-level India-based local mentor for ad hoc support
