About the job

Job Description

“Lead Executive, EHS” is a member of SEDEMAC’s Operations team. The primary role of the candidate is to:

1. Assist management to ensure compliance with all applicable environments, health & safety rules & regulations. Review and update legal register.2. Co-ordination for submission of all EHS related statutory returns within the timeline.3. Coordination of all EHS related statutory inspections like lifting tools & tackles, pressure vessels etc. and surveys of Ventilation, Illumination, Noise etc.4. Monitoring of environmental releases like stack emission, ambient air quality monitoring & noise level, wastewater analysis & drinking water analysis.5. Involve in investigation of accidents and incidents occurred, follow up for corrective & preventive action for non-recurrence of same.6. Co-ordinate and conduct EHS training as per plan for employees.7. Preparation and updating of EHS related Policies, Procedures, Formats, Registers & Checklists etc.8. Co-ordinate with all departments for closure of corrective actions and updating records.9. Co-ordinate training of Emergency Response Teams and Mock Drills.10. Preparation and updating of JSA, HIRA, aspect impact registers.11. Co-ordinate for conducting Safety Committee Meeting and plant round.12. Monitoring Work Permit system and ensuring its adherence.13. Co-ordination for management of Hazardous waste and related compliances.14. Assist in management of Flammable Liquids and Hazardous chemicals,15. Ensuring availability and monitored use of personal protective equipment (PPE’s).16. Co-ordinate for First Aid training and availability of First Aid Box and equipment.

Desired technical skills

1. Ensuring operations, maintenance & periodic testing of all portable fire extinguishers, fire hydrant, Sprinkler, Detection, MCP, PAS systems.2. Operations and Troubleshooting of STP plant.3. Plan, co-ordinate and participate in EHS Audits and inspections.4. Identification & evaluation of hazards and its analysis, planning and implementing control measures to reduce hazards and review frequently. Prepare documents for JSA and HIRA.5. Document safety inspections, mentioning dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, mitigating potential hazards.6. Ensure implementation and documentation of machine and equipment safety provisions (Guards, interlocks etc.).

Education

- B. E. / B. Tech. / M. Sc. in Environment Science- Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (MSBTE)
