We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Product to lead our India product team, ensuring the alignment with the global product roadmap while considering the unique needs of the Indian market. This position plays a crucial role in liaising with Xiaomi’s HQ team and the India product team to incorporate user feedback and enhance our product offerings.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the Xiaomi India Product team and serve as a key interface between the Indian Market and Xiaomi HQ's product development team
  • Engage in extensive collaboration with the HQ team, emphasizing the dependence on their expertise and innovation to align with and adapt the global product roadmap to fit the Indian market’s unique needs and preferences.
  • Transform insights and analyses of user feedback and behavior into actionable trends and identify gaps in the Indian market, ensuring HQ is equipped with data-driven insights for product customization.
  • Influence the global product roadmap by providing data-driven insights and recommendations based on the Indian market’s requirements
  • Collaborate intensively with cross-functional teams, both locally and at HQ, to foster innovation and strategic alignment in product development and enhancement, tailored for the Indian market.
  • Instil a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous amelioration, ensuring that the product strategy is in unison with Xiaomi’s global vision and is adaptive to the local market’s demands.
  • Drive competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats and develop strategies to address them.
  • Ensure that product initiatives and updates are executed in a timely manner, corroborating with strategic business objectives while maintaining alignment with HQ’s directives.
  • Product Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of mobile products. Analyze data to make data-driven decisions and iterate on product improvements.
  • User Experience: Champion user-centric design principles and ensure that our mobile products deliver exceptional user experiences. Advocate for usability and accessibility.
  • Budget Management: Manage the product budget, including resource allocation and cost control, to maximize efficiency and ROI.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a significant advantage.
  • A minimum of 8 plus years of professional experience, demonstrating your expertise in product management.
  • Bonus points for a strong background in hardware or IoT product management, underscoring your versatility.
  • Well-connected within the consumer electronics and smartphone industry, with a substantial social media following – a significant advantage.
  • Excellent presentation skills that set you apart.
  • A genuine passion for products, combined with a knack for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Adaptability to work in a rapid-paced, dynamic setting and to accommodate swift changes.
  • A native-level English speaker and a basic knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
