Job Summary:The IT Security Consultant is responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients on how to protect their IT infrastructure from cyber threats. The consultant will assess the current security measures, perform risk assessments, and implement security strategies and solutions. The role also involves ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations and helping clients respond to and recover from security incidents.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s (B.E./B.Tech) or Master’s (M.E./M.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Certifications such as

CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CEH , or cloud-specific certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialist, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer) are highly desirable.10+ years of experience in security architecture, with a strong focus on

cloud technologies .Proven experience in securing cloud infrastructure, conducting security risk assessments, and implementing security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Responsibilities:Cloud Security Design : Architect and implement comprehensive security strategies for multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring robust defenses against emerging threats.Risk Assessment & Mitigation : Perform security assessments and threat modeling of cloud environments, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies for vulnerabilities and threats.Identity and Access Management (IAM) : Design and implement advanced IAM policies, ensuring strict control over access to sensitive resources and data in cloud environments.Data Protection & Encryption : Develop and oversee the implementation of encryption methodologies for data at rest and in transit, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.Security Policies & Standards : Establish and enforce security standards, best practices, and guidelines for cloud infrastructure, including network segmentation, firewalls, and secure API development.DevSecOps Integration : Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security into the CI/CD pipeline, automating security testing and vulnerability management throughout the development lifecycle.Compliance & Governance : Ensure that all cloud deployments meet regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS), implementing audit trails, security monitoring, and incident response mechanisms.Incident Response : Lead the design and implementation of incident response procedures for cloud security breaches, including recovery plans and disaster recovery strategies.Continuous Monitoring & Improvement : Implement continuous security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM solutions) for cloud infrastructure and proactively identify areas for improvement.Security Awareness & Training : Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to engineering teams on secure coding practices, cloud security principles, and regulatory requirements.
