About Us:


Did you know? Synthetic nitrogen fertilizer production contributes to 1.13 gigatons of greenhouse gas emissions—more than all aviation sectors combined.

Recyteq is a funded startup working on sustainable nitrogen fertilizer derived from natural sources. We've designed a proprietary process that transforms human hair into nitrogenous fertilizer. We've successfully launched a pilot in the gardening sector, both in offline and online stores. Now, we're looking to take the next step: making it more cost-efficient, enhancing its productivity, and launching it in agriculture.


Requirements:


Join us in revolutionizing the nitrogen fertilizer industry as a Research Lead on our founding team. As a Research Lead, you'll have ownership over the experiments conducted on the development of sustainable nitrogenous fertilizer.


  • Independently investigate new technologies and propose innovative ideas to advance fertilizer chemistry, including developing novel compounds, formulations, and delivery systems to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of our fertilizer product.
  • Perform data analysis and interpretation to assess the efficacy, chemical properties, nutrient dynamics, and stability of different fertilizer formulations. Optimize the formulation and production process based on feedback and performance data.
  • Explore innovative approaches to optimize nutrient availability, release rates, and nutrient-use efficiency in fertilizers. Stay updated with the latest advancements and technological developments in the field of sustainable agriculture.
  • Develop new fertilizer formulations that address specific crop requirements, soil conditions, and environmental considerations. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during research, development, and production of fertilizers.


Benefits:

Required Experience and Capabilities


  • Bachelor's degree or M.S. in Biochemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, Agronomy, Soil Sciences, Biotechnology, Botany or closely related fields with 1+ years of industry experience, or an ex-founder with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in experimental design and laboratory research, preferably in the field of fertilizer development.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to effectively convey project plans and complex technical information to a range of internal teams and external partners.
  • Desire to embrace the challenges of developing novel technologies and work flexibly in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and high-growth environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • A can-do attitude and an innovative mindset.
