Executive / Sr. Executive - EHS

Job Responsibility:

• To file and coordinate for Health Safety and Environment related legal applications to obtain required licenses and permits from State or Central Regulatory Authorities such as Consent to Establish (NOC), Consent to Operate (CCA), CGWA NOC, Bio Medical Waste Authorization, Fire NOC, PESO Storage License as per requirements.
• To operate, maintain and supervise day-to-day Effluent Treatment Plant, Reverse Osmosis Plant and its allied systems in compliance with GPCB norms.
• To coordinate for submission of reports, returns, legal payments as per HSE rules & regulation.
• To understand, assess and review of all legal requirements as defined under statues and any amendment thereof related to Health, Safety and Environment
• To coordinate with all departments within the plant and external agencies to fulfil all Legal Requirements under Health Safety and Environment.
• To understand the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO: 45001 System requirement and follow the system. To coordinate with functional heads for compliances of the system. To prepare necessary documents required for the system.
• Follow up for execution of CAPEX / REVENUE item as per approved plan. This includes the system development, development of technical specification, technical comparison, and TR preparation, execution, commissioning & reviewing the system.
• To coordinate with internal & external auditors.
• To identify the fulfilment of existing rules & regulation related to HSE & to bring to notice of superiors for new amendments for applicability.
• To monitor the housekeeping of HSE and allied facilities.
• To organize safety committee meetings, preparing minutes, review the action.
• To attend the minor or major accident / incident promptly, investigate and suggest corrective & preventive action. You have to review the action .Quarterly/half yearly review the accident analysis & action plan.
• To monitor, maintain and up keep the fire hydrant system, fire extinguishers, safety gadgets& safety equipment's.
• To suggest for improvement in the facilities like first aid, Ambulance Room, Ambulance Van, health inspection system, medical check-up etc.
• To carry out operational study for ensuring safe working in all department and ensure for proper use of safety appliances. To use scientific techniques like Hazard identification & Risk Analysis/JSA/case study etc.
• To identify the unsafe conditions / Unsafe Act and report to concerned department for rectification and to follow up for its implementation. Suggest improvement / modification in existing working habits or working system.
• To train the safety staff on prevailing SOP of the department. To identify & prepare the requirement of new/modification of SOP as per standard system.
• To check work permits and monitor safe handling of job till completion.
• To conduct fire drills and emergency drills as per defined frequency.
• To coordinate with vendors / subcontractors to carry out work safely.
• To follow up for procuring, storage, issue and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment spares for Fire-Fighting System, Safety Systems and Effluent Treatment Plant.
• To carry out safety inspection for electrical installations, boiler installation, high-pressure vessels, lift, hoist & lifting equipments as per respective act.
• To study and update knowledge of applicable legal rules and regulation related to safety and inform the Superior for any non-compliance.
• To identify& develop the vendors for supply of quality goods & services related to HSE & to receive the goods and spares from engineering stores, check the quality of supplied product and keep the relevant records for the same.
• To coordinate external consultants/government for fulfilment of requirements of department. Also, To actively participate in ongoing HSE Projects like Fire Detection and Alarm Project (FDAS) and Fire Protection System (FPS).
• To ensure that the Quality, Health, Safety, Environment & Energy policy and procedures are followed.
• To impart on job training employees for safety awareness.
