Internship Overview

We are looking for a motivated
Mechanical Manufacturing Intern
to support our design-to-manufacturing activities. The role involves coordinating with external vendors and the internal design team to ensure that components are manufactured as per engineering requirements. The intern will apply their knowledge of different manufacturing methods and materials to evaluate feasibility, ensure quality, and track progress with vendors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with
   vendors
   to manufacture components using various processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal, casting, forging, etc.
2. Collaborate with the
   design team
   to review drawings, clarify requirements, and ensure manufacturability.
3. Monitor vendor progress, address technical queries, and support timely delivery of parts.
4. Assist in material selection and verification based on classification, grades, and application requirements.
5. Support vendor capability assessments and help align them with project needs.
6. Participate in quality checks, documentation, and feedback loop between vendors and design team.
7. Contribute to cost estimation, lead time evaluation, and procurement coordination.

Desired Skills & Knowledge (Must have)

1. Strong academic background in
Mechanical / Production Engineering
(recently graduated).

2. Practical exposure to:

a. Machining (milling, turning, drilling, grinding)

b. Welding techniques (Arc, MIG, TIG, etc.)

c. Sheet metal fabrication (cutting, bending, forming)

d. Lathe operations

e. Casting and forging processes

3. Knowledge of material science
, including classification of materials, grades, and their industrial applications.

4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing standards.

5. 
Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Telugu
for effective coordination with vendors and team members.

6. Basic understanding of workplace safety in a manufacturing environment.

7. Good problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1.     BE/BTech/MTech graduates in mechanical engineering or related field.

2.     Prior internship, workshop, or project experience in a manufacturing setup.

3.     Familiarity with measurement instruments and quality inspection methods.

4.     Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360) will be an added advantage
