Job Title: Proposal Writer – Federal & Government Location: India Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Proposal Writer with a strong background in developing compelling proposals for Federal, State, and Local Government contracts. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing, organization, and project management skills, with a deep understanding of the government RFP/RFI/RFQ process. This role requires close collaboration with business development, solution, and pricing teams to create persuasive, compliant, and high-quality proposals that align with organizational goals and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs from federal and government agencies. Coordinate with internal teams (sales, technical, pricing, and delivery) to gather necessary information for proposal development. Write, edit, and format proposals to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with solicitation requirements. Develop executive summaries, technical narratives, management approaches, and past performance sections. Maintain and update proposal templates, boilerplate content, and capability statements. Manage proposal schedules, deadlines, and submission logistics. Ensure all deliverables adhere to agency requirements and company branding standards. Support color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) and incorporate feedback into final submissions. Track and manage multiple proposals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 3–7 years of experience writing proposals for Federal, State, or Local Government contracts . Proven understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government procurement processes. Strong command of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat ; experience with proposal management tools is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Experience in writing for IT services, digital transformation, or staffing proposals preferred. Preferred Skills: APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification is a plus. Experience with GSA schedules, IDIQs, BPAs, and GWACs . Strong understanding of technical and management proposal sections for government bids.
