Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 2 Hand Therapy practitioners – Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join the Hand Therapy team. About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About the Role: This role is responsible for the provision of specialist clinical (assessment and treatment) services to clients referred for Hand Therapy at Northern Hospital Epping and Craigieburn Centre including provision of services to the Hand Therapy procedure unit. This position is fixed term full time (behind Maternity leave). Job share, part-time considered. To be successful in this role you will have: Experience and good working knowledge of the role of Hand Therapy in the acute hospital environment (or similar) Specialist postgraduate training and/or experience in Plastics/Hand Therapy, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant clinical practice including management of acute hand trauma. Well informed of current developments in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and Hand Therapy. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Proven ability to work autonomously and part of a team Committed to life-long learning and development Next Steps . . .
