ABOUT THE ROLE The Quality Manager is accountable to ensure that across the Clothing categories within the Asia QA team that product safety , quality and compliance is embedded within the day to day operations to deliver our purpose Better Together for a Better Tomorrow . This role will lead the team of quality partners to ensure a partnered approach to deliver great value , safe quality own brand products aligned with the business unit strategy.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leading the Quality Partners to ensure they are partnering across commercial and sourcing to ensure delivery of great quality , safe own brand products .
Partnering with the Clothing policy team to ensure that product standards and protocols are embedded across the product categories to deliver product safety , regulatory and compliance requirements for all products sold in the Clothing business within BIG W and Woolworths Supermarkets.
Building collaborative partnerships with sourcing and commercial managers to embed product safety mindset into the day to day operations.
To ensure the NPD process is implemented for all products sourced by the Clothing Team in Woolworths Group Asia .
To partner with our factories to ensure product safety and quality standards are well understood and implemented for production of our own brand products
To ensure audit compliance to Woolworths Supplier Excellence standards and Responsible Sourcing Standards for all factories prior to the approval of production of own brand products.
To build strong partnering relationships with suppliers , test houses and shipment inspection providers to ensure smooth delivery of our product safety / quality requirements.
To ensure all QP’s are trained in NPD process and standards .
To drive continuous improvement in ways of working and simplification in our processes to improve our critical path timelines .
To partner with the business unit sustainability team to deliver product and packaging goals
Serve as a key person for the India office supporting office operations (working closely with the relevant teams including People, IT, Finance), driving team engagement initiatives and ensuring a healthy & safe working environment
WHO YOU ARE
At least 5 years experience in product safety and quality management
Strong stakeholder management and partnering skills
Experience leading and managing a team
