At earthians, we pride ourselves in building products our customers love to use. Most of our work is open source and you will be expected to collaborate with the community members, private necessary help by answering queries on the forum and other channels, creating effective documentation / video demonstrations of the features you develop and above all write clean code.

Key Responsibilities:

Marley Healthcare, our flagship product, is an evolving HIS and feature requests come form customers, community etc, you'll be primarily responsible for single handedly developing features and accompanying documentation. You'll also need to attend to bug fixes / enhancements that are requested via the GitHub issues / other channels. Being an open source first company, you'll need to strictly follow community guidelines and write clean, maintainable code.

Fundamentals:

Knowledge of object oriented concepts, design patterns, web technologies, cloud based applications architecture etc. is a must. This position requires you to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements to continuously enhance skills and contribute to product development and innovation. You shall implement and adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and documentation to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions.

Domain Knowledge:

Possess a good understanding of healthcare interoperability standards like HL7 FHIR, other HL7 standards, DICOM, standards from ASTM etc., terminology specifications like LOINC, SNOMED CT, ICD, CDC etc., security policies like HIPAA, HITRUST etc. You should be able to develop and maintain interfaces that facilitate smooth communication between Marley Healthcare and third party systems. Apart from these, exposure to any regional compliance standards will be a plus.

Even though you are not on top of all of the above mentioned specs, you should be willing to learn and acquire a good understanding of such standards as and when required.

Customisations:

Customise and enhance ERPNext / Marley Healthcare modules to meet customer needs, contribute to upstream repositories whenever possible.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, UI/UX Designers, Sales, Support and the like to ensure a holistic approach to software development and enhanced user experience.

Technology:

  • Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS
  • jQuery, Vue / React
  • Linux / Debian
  • MySQL, SQLite
  • Frappe framework

Experience:

2+ years proven experience as a developer, (preferably with a focus on Frappe framework)

and / or

Exposure to health informatics software systems / deep understanding about healthcare domain

Others:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with a passion to troubleshoot and solve complex software development challenges
  • Travel to office as required

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or a related field

Or

Health professionals who have strong domain knowledge and are proficient in technologies listed above
