About The Job

Responsible for guiding the client on trade and marketing solutions as well as executing the final plan. Aim is to drive brand awareness and sales of client's agriculture / food produce.

Key responsibilities

Trade Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact and build strong working relationships with importers, distributors, retailers, and other trade stakeholders in the food and agriculture industry.

Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the trade channels, aiming to expand the distribution and utilisation of the product.

Trade Channels Development: Strategically assess the existing trade channels and work to enhance them, exploring partnerships, collaborations, and innovative distribution methods.

Trade Shows and Events: Plan, coordinate, and represent the brand at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to showcase products, build connections, and explore potential partnerships.

Product Development Support: Collaborate with partners to understand market demands and trends, providing input and insights for the development of the brand related products that meet consumer preferences.

Foodservice Sector Outreach: Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with the foodservice sector, including restaurants, cafes, and catering businesses, to promote the incorporation of the brand into their offerings.

Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive working relationship.

Market Analysis: Continuously monitor industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.

Collaboration: Work closely with the brand, including marketing and communication professionals, to align efforts and achieve common goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred.

● 2-3 years of experience in trade representation, business, sales within the food and agriculture industry.

● Proven track record of successfully developing and managing trade relationships.

● Familiarity with distribution channels, retail networks, and trade dynamics.

● Experience planning and participating in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.

● Understanding of product development processes and the ability to provide insights for new product concepts.

● Knowledge of the foodservice sector and experience in outreach to restaurants and related businesses.

● Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data to inform strategic decisions.

● Collaborative and proactive approach to working within cross-functional teams.

Overall, a professional with a blend of trade expertise, business acumen, relationship-building skills, and a thorough understanding of the food and agriculture industry.
