Desired Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Diploma in Industrial Safety (Recognized by State Government is mandatory) with minimum 5-10 years of experience in HSE.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain plant safety systems in compliance with statutory and company requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety Inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate accidents/Incidents and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Factories Act, OSHA, ISO 45001, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and Implement safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with external agencies like DISH, Fire Department, and Pollution Control Board as required.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and drive safety culture through initiatives.
  • Supervise the use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Support emergency preparedness and conduct periodic mock drills.
  • Monitor work permit systems and ensure compliance in hazardous areas (confined space, hot work, etc.).

Functional Competencies:

Strong knowledge of safety laws and regulations applicable to power plants Proficiency in MS Office and safety reporting software.

  • Good communication, leadership and analytical skills.
