Machine Operator Edge Banding

As an Edge Banding Machine Operator at Skyler World in Raipur, you will be utilizing your expertise in furniture manufacturing to operate edge banding machines with precision and finesse.

Your primary responsibility will involve applying edge bands to wooden panels, ensuring top-notch quality finishing and durability.

Your duties will include operating both automatic and semi-automatic edge banding machines according to production schedules. You will be responsible for setting up machine parameters like temperature, speed, and pressure based on panel size and material specifications. Monitoring the process closely during operation to ensure correct loading of panels and edge banding material is essential for seamless production.

Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in ensuring proper bonding of edge tape to various panel types including MDF, plywood, and particle board without any damage or misalignment. Post-operation, you will meticulously inspect finished panels to guarantee trimming accuracy and a smooth finish. It will also be part of your role to conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the edge banding machine and promptly report any mechanical or material issues to the supervisor.

Collaboration with the production team to ensure timely output is vital, along with adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment. Your ability to handle tools efficiently, read measurements accurately, and troubleshoot basic edge banding machine operations will be valuable assets in this role.

To be considered for this position, you should possess a minimum of 1-2 year of experience operating edge banding machines in a furniture or woodworking setting. A background in ITI/Diploma in Woodworking/Furniture Technology or a related technical field is preferred. A good understanding of edge band materials such as PVC, ABS, and veneer, coupled with a commitment to quality finishing, will set you up for success in this role.
