Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified CA Inter passed candidate with expertise in Tally to join our team as a Senior Accountant in Kollam. The ideal candidate will assist and manage all accounting operations while supporting the overall functions of the accounts department.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: CA Inter passed (Mandatory)
  • Software Skills: Expertise in Tally (Mandatory)
  • Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kollam
  • Experience: 2-5 years in accounting and finance roles

Key Responsibilities

Primary Accounting Functions

  • Maintain and manage all accounting records and transactions
  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, ledger maintenance
  • Prepare and maintain books of accounts using Tally software
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation of accounts
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures

Financial Management

  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable management
  • Manage cash flow statements and bank reconciliations
  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis
  • Monitor and track expenses and revenues

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions
  • Assist in preparation of tax filings and statutory returns
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules

Team Support & Coordination

  • Assist and support all team members in the accounts department
  • Coordinate with other departments for financial data collection
  • Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff
  • Handle queries from management regarding financial matters

Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepare MIS reports for management review
  • Assist in vendor management and payment processing
  • Support in inventory valuation and cost accounting
  • Handle petty cash management and expense reimbursements
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP (Advanced level)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Understanding of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of banking operations and reconciliations

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team player with leadership potential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35, ₹50,000.00 per month
