Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies specific to modular furniture production, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers of raw materials, hardware, and other components essential for modular furniture manufacturing.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and sales teams to understand material requirements and forecast demand accurately.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely procurement to meet production schedules.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and pricing data to drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any performance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all purchasing activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.


Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on the modular furniture or related industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of materials and production processes specific to modular furniture is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Understanding of sustainable sourcing practices in the furniture industry.
