Payment Project Management Experience
· Coordinate and perform team management
· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
· Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
· Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
· Stakeholder Reporting and escalate to management as needed
· Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
· Perform risk management to minimize project risks
· Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Domain Experience
· Knowledge of Banking Payment Systems
· Knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT formats, payment schemes.
· To undertake business analyst roles covering SDLC phases (requirements, specifications, test cases, and implementation) using AGILE methodology of delivery
· Liaising with business teams, colleagues, third party vendor(s) & partner systems to formulate detailed project plan
· Interpreting user requirements and produce detailed documentation (including processes) to be used to communicate to technical and test teams
· Should have been in Client facing role with mandate to build relationships
· Demonstrable success with pursuits and achieving hard / soft revenue targets
· Functional and technical understanding of payment architectures, core payment processing solutions and underlying payment business processes. Experience on any industry led platforms would be a bonus.
· Understanding of the basic payment hub architecture, the surround systems for payment hubs in a typical payment hub architecture
· Hands on experience in business rule configuration, profiles set up and other static data set up based on bank’s business requirement
· Understanding of underlying payment flows and business processes
· Understanding of surround system integration and the diverse protocols – RESTful, SOAP, APIs, File based, JMS, MQ
· Hands-on experience with platform implementation lifecycle – gap analysis, interface study, data migration, support of SIT, UAT, penetration testing.
· Exposure to any of the payment messaging formats would be a plus
· Understanding of Payments domain with demonstrable knowledge on - Real time, batch payments, high value payments
· Should understand the workflow for bulk payments (mass pay) and single payments (high value and real time)
· Should have a know-how of defect triaging for identifying the root cause of issue
Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Payments Industry experience and overall 15+ years of experience, having worked in Tier-1 IT organizations in BFSI domain for large payments modernization/SEPA compliance, Real Time Payments, payments hub implementation projects
- Strong experience on ISO 20022 (PAIN, PACS, CAMT, ADMI), SWIFT formats
- Payments Schemes – Singapore, Hongkong, South Africa, US, UK, India (preferred)
- Strong payments program management experience
- Excellent communication skills with ability to lead leadership discussions independently.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors and gain consensus and agreement
