Lead Security Engineer

Designation : Lead Security Engineer

Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related technology degree.

About the role :

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Lead to spearhead our comprehensive vulnerability management program. You will be responsible for overseeing the identification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities across our diverse infrastructure, including on-premises, containerized, and cloud environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous security posture of our organization, proactively mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the vulnerability management program.

What you will be doing :

- Develop security requirements and standards in collaboration with technical teams to safeguard the corporate computing enterprise as well as customer-facing cloud infrastructure, applications, and data.

- Support day-to-day execution of security processes in areas related to perimeter and endpoint security, cloud security posture management, vulnerability management, security observability, and security operations.

- Leverage coding skills and experience working with Infrastructure as code (IaC) pipelines to develop, manage, and continuously audit cloud security solutions and safeguards on the AWS platform.

- Develop tools to integrate security systems and automate workflows for Global Information Security teams across enterprise/corporate IT and customer-facing product computing environments.

- Champion or strongly contribute to security initiatives and projects.

- Support day-to-day execution of security processes in areas related to cloud security posture management, vulnerability management, security observability, and security operations.

What you will need for this position :

- 8+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or systems engineering with cyber security engineering responsibilities.

- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our vulnerability management program, encompassing infrastructure, container, and cloud security.

- Oversee the selection, deployment, and configuration of vulnerability scanning tools and platforms for various environments.

- Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on exploitability, risk score, and business criticality.

- Collaborate with security and engineering teams to develop and implement effective remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities.

- Track and monitor the progress of vulnerability remediation efforts, ensuring timely closure and adherence to established timelines.

- Develop and maintain internal processes and procedures for vulnerability handling, communication, and escalation.

- Stay abreast of evolving threat trends, vulnerability intelligence, and emerging security technologies.

- Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities for automation and optimization within the vulnerability management program.

- Regularly report on the program's effectiveness, including metrics and dashboards, to senior management.

- Experience coding in Python, Java, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript

- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Cod (IaC) tools, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), or Chef.
