Role Overview:
The Commis Chef (I, II, III) – Pizza will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of pizzas under the supervision of the Chef de Partie (CDP) or Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP). The role focuses on learning, supporting operations, and ensuring quality and consistency in the pizza section.
Key Responsibilities:
Commis I (Senior among commis):
- Support CDP/DCDP in preparing dough, sauces, and toppings.
- Cook pizzas as per recipes and maintain quality standards.
- Supervise Commis II & III, guiding them in daily tasks.
- Ensure mise-en-place for the pizza section is ready before service.
- Monitor food storage, stock rotation, and maintain hygiene.
Commis II:
- Assist in dough preparation, topping arrangement, and basic cooking tasks.
- Operate pizza oven under guidance of seniors.
- Handle mise-en-place such as cutting vegetables, grating cheese, preparing sauces.
- Follow hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Report to Commis I/CDP for daily duties.
Commis III (Entry-level/junior):
- Perform basic tasks such as cleaning, chopping, and assisting seniors.
- Help in dough kneading, portioning, and topping preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and kitchen equipment.
- Learn pizza-making techniques and support during peak operations.
- Follow instructions of Commis II/I and seniors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Italian cuisine/pizza section preferred (Commis I & II).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and handling (Commis III can be fresher/trainee).
- Passion for pizza and learning culinary skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
