II. Purpose of the role


This role is to oversee and drive the sustainable and profitable revenue growth of online business of Café coffee day. This role also encompassing various responsibilities related to the planning, development, implementation, and optimization of an online sales strategy.


III. Key Responsibilities and accountabilities of the Role:


1)Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy aligned with overall business goals. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making. Set short-term and long-term goals for online sales growth, customer acquisition, and retention.


2)Website Management: Oversee and develop, maintain the design, functionality, and user experience of the e-commerce website or platform. Ensure the website is optimized for search engines (SEO) and user-friendly. Collaborate with IT or web development teams for site maintenance and improvements.


3)Product Management: Manage the online product catalog, including product listings, descriptions, and images. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date product information. Monitor and analyze product performance and make recommendations for changes.


4)Customer Experience: Focus on providing a seamless and positive customer experience.

Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Monitor customer feedback and address any issues promptly.


5)Marketing and Promotions: Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions on the eCommerce platform. Utilize various online marketing channels, including email marketing, social media, search engine marketing (SEM), and affiliate marketing, to reach target audiences. Plan and execute promotional activities, discounts, and sales events to boost sales and customer acquisition.


6)Sales and Revenue Management: Set sales targets and develop strategies to achieve them.

Monitor sales performance and implement tactics to increase revenue. Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Identify cost-saving opportunities and investment areas to optimize ROI and maximize business value.


7)Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and ensure products are in stock.

Implement strategies for efficient inventory turnover and minimize stock outs.


8)Payment and Security: Ensure secure and seamless payment processes for online transactions. Stay updated on industry standards and implement security measures to protect customer data.


9)Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze e-commerce performance.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (CLV).


10)Partnership and Vendor Management: Identify and negotiate partnerships with third-party vendors, suppliers, and service providers to support eCommerce operations. Manage relationships with eCommerce platform providers, payment gateways, shipping carriers, and other external partners. Ensure compliance with vendor agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and contractual obligations.

V. Knowledge and Skills:


Educational Qualification: MBA in Marketing or similar qualification


Experience:


  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years industry experience in Ecommerce.
  • Strong in delivery business with experience in retail / eCommerce platforms.
  • Successful track record in managing website keyword optimization and marketing, affiliate partnerships, merchandising, email marketing, digital media and online marketing campaigns to elicit conversion.
  • Experience in new initiatives and launches / merchandise in web and app.
  • Strong in multi functions projects, product optimization in online platform


Functional Skills Required to execute the role:


  • Good Arithmetical & Reasoning Ability
  • Able to communicate well, Enthusiastic & System knowledge
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation and presentation skills (able to create and deliver presentations to senior management).


Technical Skills Required to execute the role:


  • Strong in Database management
  • Strong proficiency with data analysis tools, data visualization tools, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of statistical and analytical techniques.
  • Knowledge of online platforms and online retail industry trends.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey data findings to stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
