Job Overview:

As a Senior 3D Generalist, you will be responsible for leading and executing the creation of high-quality 3D assets and animations from concept to final output. You will be working on diverse projects that range from commercials and branded content to interactive experiences. You will collaborate closely with our creative team, including directors, designers, and producers, to bring ideas to life with a high level of craft and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and production of 3D models, textures, lighting, and animations for various creative projects, ensuring consistency and quality across all deliverables.
  • Take ownership of all 3D aspects of a project, from initial concepts through to final production, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
  • Collaborate with directors, designers, and other departments to understand project requirements and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the creative vision.
  • Work on both high-end, detailed 3D models and stylized, simplified designs depending on project needs.
  • Optimize 3D assets for real-time applications, virtual production, and various media formats.
  • Maintain a high level of creative and technical proficiency while staying current with the latest industry tools and techniques.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced agency setting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to 3D production processes.
  • Contribute to client presentations and pitches, helping to communicate creative concepts visually.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior 3D Generalist, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation.
  • At least 5+ years of professional experience in the creative industry, preferably in an agency or fast-paced production environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D software such as Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Blender, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of rendering engines (e.g., Redshift, Arnold, Octane) and compositing (e.g., Nuke, After Effects).
  • Experience with motion graphics and visual effects (VFX) a plus.
  • Solid understanding of color theory, lighting, and camera work in 3D environments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and liaise with clients.
