Job Description:
We’re looking for creative and passionate screen writers to join a vertical-format OTT platform focused on delivering unique and engaging drama and romance stories tailored for Indian audiences. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of storytelling in short formats and a deep understanding of Indian viewers’ tastes and preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop captivating, high-engagement scripts for vertical video formats, focusing on drama, romance, and emotional storytelling.
- Adapt international story themes to suit Indian sensibilities, ensuring they resonate with local audiences while maintaining universal appeal.
- Collaborate with our creative team to ideate and refine stories that are fresh, relevant, and culturally tuned for the Indian OTT market.
- Research trends in vertical video storytelling to keep content innovative and compelling.
- Work with the production team to ensure scripts are optimized for high-quality, quick-turnaround content.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in writing for digital platforms, OTT, or short-form storytelling.
- Strong understanding of Indian audience preferences in drama and romance genres.
- Skill in crafting dialogue, character development, and engaging narratives.
- Ability to generate ideas and write under tight deadlines.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience in story adaptation or localization.
- Understanding of audience engagement metrics.
- Interest in drama and romance genres, with a versatile portfolio.
