Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer with strong expertise in to join our engineering team. In this role you will help build and maintain features for , enhance performance, and contribute to user-facing and backend functionality. You'll work closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver a great experience for metro travellers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance user-facing web applications using

  • Ensure high performance, stability, and responsiveness across devices and browsers

  • Implement SEO best practices, server-side rendering (SSR) / static site generation (SSG) as appropriate

  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate UI/UX designs into functional features

  • Integrate and/or build APIs for route information, maps, fare calculations, station-data etc.

  • Handle real-time data (e.g. updates to metro routes, delays if needed) and make sure user is presented with fresh, accurate data

  • Optimize build times, performance, and page load times

  • Write clean, maintainable, testable code; write unit and integration tests

  • Debug, monitor, and improve existing codebase; participate in code reviews

  • Contribute to planning, estimation, and design discussions

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience (1+ years) developing web apps with and React

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript

  • Working with SSR and/or SSG, incremental static regeneration, etc.

  • Experience with API design/integration (REST, GraphQL etc.)

  • Familiarity with front-end performance optimization, web-vitals, and best practices (lazy loading, code splitting etc.)

  • Strong debugging skills, understanding browser rendering, networking, performance bottlenecks

  • Experience with version control (Git)

  • Good understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility

  • Basic understanding of SEO considerations for SPAs/SSRs
