Strategic :

Develop analytical tools and strategy to deliver BIC (Best in Class) pricing (Cost Models, Benchmarking, Market Intelligence, targets, competitive bids, Lowest Cost Country sourcing, etc.)
Source programs/requirements and manage needs of the business regarding the sourcing
Monitor quality and supply of supply base including follow-up on further development/improvement and establishment of back-up plan in case of risk
Program Management :
Program management skill to Coordinate, deploy and manage Program Control resources aligned with program scale
Align program priorities with MLH ( Model Line Head) and PMO (Program Management) and deploy Program Control resources deliver program requirements on time with quality of event
Purchasing representative at cross-functional program/project management and launch meetings
Single point of contact and co-ordination regarding Purchasing issues for suppliers and engineering (Various Programs)
Negotiation & costing :
Competitor intelligence gathering competency highly desired.
Develop & Implement zero based cost templates for Hero Motocorp
Negotiate & implement best Mass Production pricing and achieve Year-Over-Year cost reductions in contracts and rates. Purchasing lead cost attack teams.
Requirement:
Previous people management is expected
Btech with 9+ years or MBA with 6+ years of experience
Experience in cross-functional Purchasing operations such as Vendor development, Strategy & Planning, Programs would be advantageous
3-4 years as a Commodity (Production) or 3-4 years of hands on buying experience is highly desirable
1-2 years’ responsibility for different commodities control manager is desirable
1-2 years’ cross-cultural (International Service Employee or global team) experience is desirable
1-2 years working in or coordinating a cross-functional team (e.g. cost reduction, global category strategy) is highly desirable
