Business Process Consultant – Procurement , APJ Region 

The Customer Business Process Consultant is responsible for assisting our customers with the design and 
deployment of their Ariba Cloud solutions. As functional experts, they will help lead the customer in the 
build, testing and deployment of their software solution and associated business processes while 
providing project planning and management services. While the focus of this posting is the Deployment 
Lead/ Functional Lead role, our team is required to have a deep understanding of the functions and 
features of the applications. 

Duties and Responsibilities 
Project Management Duties: 
Deployment responsibilities include assisting customers throughout the various phases of SAP 
Ariba’s solution deployment by using SAP Activate methodology from Kick off to Go Live. 
To act as a liaison between the customer and various groups within Ariba such as Technical 
Support, Sales & Customer Engagement, Engineering, and Product Management teams. 
Proactively collaborates with customer and internal project team to anticipate and respond to 
issues that could impact solution deployment (e.g., change in scope) 
Strong PMO skills with sound communication skills to manage external & Internal stakeholders 
Responsible for maintaining the project forecasts Felipe/PTD, Budgets, resource estimations. 
Responsible for customer satisfaction (VOC) during the successful deployment of solutions 
Functional lead Duties: 
Focus on functionally guiding the customer, getting correct customer personnel to answer 
requirements questions, and compatible configuration of On demand with Ariba Network(AN) 
Functional Leads will assist with all aspects of a deployment including (but not limited to): 
requirements gathering, process configuration, documenting process flows, user interface 
configuration, user and supplier set-up and testing support, project management support, issue 
resolution support. 
Understanding the customer solution landscape (AS- IS) and recommend the TO-BE design 
solution proposal and case study. 
Work closely with the cross functional teams in co ordinating and arriving at holistic design 
recommendation for the customer landscape. 
People Development 
Owns developing and maintaining team operating principles and team templates and work 
instructions. 
Working across multiple cross functional teams – Both internal & external stakeholders. 
Owns developing internal team trainings and other related knowledge collateral 
(Internal/External) 
Acts as a mentor to new team members. 
Teamwork 
Executes with minimal guidance and shows strong initiative. 
Maintains regular communication with team members (e.g., face-to-face, via voicemails, emails) 
especially across multiple solution deployments so everyone understands status of project. 
Displays proactive communication (i.e., face-to-face meetings and phone calls are more frequent 
than emails). 
Participates in the creation of solution, customer, and industry knowledge collateral by leveraging 
the appropriate resources (internally at Ariba and externally at the client) 
As started above, the focus of this posting is the Deployment Lead / Functional Lead role, our 
team is required to have a deep understanding of the functions and features of the 
applications. In order to do this, we would expect this person to serve as a Functional Lead on a 
periodic basis to enhance this understanding of how to deploy the applications 

Qualifications  and Experience: 
5+Years in the Procurement domain or Supply chain Industry. 
Experience in SAP Ariba Buyer/ Downstream Modules [P2P, Contracts, Invoicing, Reports etc..] is 
preferred. 
• SAP ERP MM, SRM or S4 Hana (or similar) deployment experience is a plus. 
Exposure to SAP ACTIVATE methodology. 
Exposure to Project Management methodologies – Agile, waterfall, lean, Scrum, Lean..etc 
Candidates having experience with Supply chain management or Procurement processes 
applications is desired.
