Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer (Piping) with strong expertise in Oil & Gas industry projects. The role requires leadership in planning, executing, and monitoring piping projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Should know about quality welding in detail.
  • Should have worked with Bigger Pipe Diameters.
  • Complete understanding of Weld Procedure Standard.
  • Understanding of Isometric Drawings and ability to instruct fitters to make Fit ups as per to drawing.
  • Supervise site activities related to piping fabrication, erection, hydro-testing, and commissioning.
  • Experience of Air Pressure Test.
  • Experience of DPT Test.
  • Piping work handover to Client Experience.
  • Daily Process Report (DPR) has to be prepared and share daily basis.
  • Manpowers has to be motivated related to work.
  • Support project handover activities including testing, inspection, and client approvals
  • Prepare project schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure effective coordination between fitters and welders.
  • Supervise site activities related to piping fabrication, erection, welding, hydro testing, and commissioning.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and industry codes (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, etc.).

  • Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards during project execution.

  • Conduct safety reviews, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with client and statutory regulations.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of piping engineering, construction, and project execution in Oil & Gas.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS, Caesar II (for stress analysis), MS Project / Primavera.
  • Excellent project coordination, planning, and scheduling skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Good problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client & vendor management.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in multicultural environments, and at project sites.
