UI/UX Designer

(Based in Andheri, Mumbai)


THE ORGANIZATION

As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a critical role in creating an intuitive and user-friendly interface for complex maritime data. Your designs will bridge the gap between advanced maritime technology and practical operations, ensuring the existing platform is not only visually appealing but also easy to navigate and highly functional for users across hundreds of ships worldwide.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Study maritime operations and user needs to improve the platform's interface.
  • Create wireframes, sitemaps, and UI prototypes, and test designs with users to ensure usability.
  • Analyze data from Google Analytics to understand user behavior and optimize the user experience.
  • Work closely with Product, Software, and QA teams to ensure a cohesive design approach.
  • Communicate design ideas clearly to the Design Lead, Product Team, and other stakeholders.
  • Support Business Analysts in project management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and product launches.
  • Work independently, stay organized, and use data to prioritize design improvements.
  • Continuously enhance the company design system as the platform grows.


YOUR PROFILE

  • 4+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, preferably with complex, data-heavy applications.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing case studies where you simplified complex processes.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, FigJam, and Adobe XD.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working on a design system for a growing platform will be advantageous.
  • Understanding of front-end styling (HTML and CSS) is nice to have.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments and a keen interest in maritime technology or other complex industrial systems.
