Summary
Responsible for managing all aspects of diverse, medium to moderately complex IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. Communicates with end-users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates. Projects involve multiple disciplines in the IT function; individuals who manage projects exclusively in one aspect of IT. Coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time, within budget and produce the desired results. Use critical thinking and analytical skills to further processes and documentation.Job QualificationsRequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field5-8 years of project management and related experienceProven ability to solve problems creativelyStrong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practicesStrong quantitative skills (advanced Excel, Access) as well as comfort with advanced features of Word and PowerPointStrong verbal and written communications and relationship skillsStrong collaboration and problem-solving skills are also requiredExperience seeing projects through the full life cycleProven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timelineExcellent analytical skillsKnowledge of methods of data collection, manipulation, interpretation and presentation of information, as well as knowledge of rigorous statistical analytics, research methodology and metricsFluent in EnglishResponsibilitiesDetermine and define project scope and objectivesPredict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient mannerPrepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirementsTrack project costs in order to meet budgetDevelop and manage a detailed project schedule and work planProvide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progressManage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverablesUtilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project executionMonitor progress and make adjustments as neededMeasure project performance to identify areas for improvementEducation/CertificationBachelor’s degree in computer science or business, or an equivalent professional qualificationPMP or Prince2 Certified - preferredTravel RequirementsTravel required for position: 5-10% potentialPhysical DemandsNormal office environment
