Job Title: Internal Trainer / Training Coordinator

Department: Akademie (Training & Development)

Reports To: Training Manager

Location: Cochin


Job Summary:

The Internal Trainer/Training Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring training programs to enhance employee performance and organizational productivity. The role involves conducting training needs analyses, organizing skill development initiatives, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs to ensure alignment with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Training & Induction:
  • Conduct induction programs for new joiners within the first 7 days of every month.
  • Skill Development & Training Needs Analysis:
  • Perform skill mapping and evaluate training needs through quarterly PMS reviews.
  • Design and execute training programs to address identified skill gaps.
  • Performance Metrics & Cost Efficiency:
  • Measure and report the % difference in productivity rates before and after training.
  • Ensure measurable cost reduction and performance improvement through training initiatives.
  • Training Program Design & Execution:
  • Organize monthly internal skill competitions, categorized for various skill levels.
  • Monitor training hours per employee/year and ensure optimal training penetration rates.
  • Develop and adhere to a structured training calendar with a high % of execution.
  • Ensure DICV Training Compliance and effective utilization of the training budget.
  • Assessment & Feedback:
  • Conduct post-training assessments and gather employee feedback to refine training strategies.
  • Maintain an Employee Training Satisfaction Index and ensure a high % of employees achieve competence post-training.
  • Reporting & Data Management:
  • Update training data accurately in the LMS.
  • Provide reports on training penetration, employee competence levels, and budget usage.
  • Ad-hoc Activities:
  • Successfully complete any additional tasks or projects assigned.


Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, Training & Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in training coordination or similar roles.


Skills:

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Expertise in training program development and evaluation.
  • Proficient in LMS and other training-related tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on performance metrics and ROI of training programs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Timely induction of new joiners.
  • Improvement in productivity post-training (%).
  • Training penetration rate.
  • Employee Training Satisfaction Index.
  • Adherence to training calendar and budget utilization.
  • Competence level achieved by employees post-training.
