Job Overview:

Position is responsible for coordination between multilocational Sales and Marketing teams and Manufacturing Plant to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products. Primary roles are Planning, Scheduling, and Monitoring production activities with given resources and maintaining optimized inventory levels.


Key Activities:

Planning:

  • Play a lead role in demand forecasting by lesioning with Sales Teams.
  • Formulate and execute production plans based on Sales Orders and Forecast.
  • Aligning and execution of production plans as per Sales Orders, Forecasts and Organizational needs and priorities.

Scheduling:

  • Formulate Daily, Weekly, and Monthly production schedules.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities in manufacturing & dispatch process to optimize resources without affecting dispatch schedules.
  • Make warranted changes in manufacturing plans to meet changing demands without affecting prevailing dispatch commitments.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage optimized raw materials and finished goods inventory levels to ensure continuous production and dispatch flow.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials adhering to quality requirements.
  • Implement methods for tracking inventory accuracy and conducting regular audits.

Synergizing:

  • Work closely with the manufacturing, quality assurance, packing, dispatch and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to discuss production issues and find resolutions.
  • Foster communication between departments to enhance workflow efficiency.

Reporting / MIS:

  • Schedule adherence monitoring.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and variances. Suggest changes and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports on production performance metrics, inventory levels, and resource utilization.
  • Generate data-driven insights to facilitate informed management decisions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement Six Sigma methodologies to improve production processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and technology integration.
  • Identify Lean Manufacturing Initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.


Skills and Qualification:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering/ Mechanical Engineering / Business administration. (Preferred)
  • Certificate courses in PPC domain. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices. (Preferred)
  • Proven experience of around 2 years in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under demanding work environment and meet milestones.
