Marine Support Services Manager

One of our prestigious clients inKingdom of Saudi Arabia is looking tohire a Marine Support ServicesManager .

JobPurpose:

The Marine SupportServices Manager is responsible for efficiently managing theactivities of the Marine Support Services Department across thecompany yard in accordance with international and local regulationsand standards pertaining to the field. It is imperative to ensurethat the companys policies corporate KPIs vision and QualityManagement System areupheld.

KeyAccountabilities:

• Overallmanagement of the costefficient distribution of shared Marinemanpower and equipment to various Marine Operations Departments(Dry docks Port Operation and Shiplift & transfersystem).
• Management of Marine Operationsconsumables and tools including maintaining updated inventory andensuring minimum stock availability within the company warehouse orMarine Operations main/satellitestores.
• Management of assetreliability/availability risks by coordinating with the AssetManagement team for daytoday preventive maintenance activitiesreporting breakdown failures and recommending measures to preventrecurrence.
• Ensuring adequate resourcingappropriate procedures processes and standards are in place for allMarine Support Services and updating them asrequired.
• Ensuring Marine Support Services meetthe Companys contractual obligations in terms of Quality timelinebudget KPIs and overall strategy.
• Supervisionand followup of the Training & Development plans of themarine operations team to fulfill marine operationstasks.
• Proposal and implementation ofimprovement measures to generate cost savings optimize operationsenhance service quality and improve company competitiveness andreputation while complying with company Policies &Procedures and values.
• Coordination withdifferent company functions to ensure work activities are conductedsafely and environmentally friendly with zerotolerance.
• Supervision of the preparation ofdiagrams charts drawings calculations and reports by the marineoperations team and making recommendations forimprovements.
• Leading the procurement processof new assets tools equipment and consumables including technicalselection commissioning final checkout factory and site acceptancetesting to adhere to functionalspecifications.
• Ensuring achievement of setdepartmental KPIs aligned with corporategoals.
• Assisting the Asset management andMarine Operation GM and VP in corporate projects assigned to thefunction.
• Attending meetings at differentlevels to report and update about Marine Operation tasks andactivities.
• Management of key relationshipsbetween the company and its customers suppliers andemployees.
• Ensuring full compliance withinternational guidelines codes regulations and standards related toMarineOperations.

Whowe are lookingfor:

• Holding a minimumof a Bachelors Degree in Marine Engineering Naval ArchitectureMechanical Engineering or another related field ofstudy.
• Preferably possessing a postgraduatedegree in management or a businessrelated discipline or a seniormarine qualification or relevantdegree.
• Minimum of 1518 years of overallindustry work experience with at least 5 years in a management role(Manager or Dept. Manager) in the marine field; preferably in adynamic port shipyard or equivalent marine or oil & gasindustries or services.
• Preference given tocandidates with Saudi & GCCexperience.
• Experience in working with diversecultures.
• Recommended to have Marineprofessional Certificates (such as COC or OOW) and basic STCWCertifications.
• Additional qualifications suchas PMP or Port Operation diploma or NEBOSH are aplus.
• Demonstrates the ability to listen to theviews of others and respond in a logical wellthoughtout mannerwithout the need to resort toauthority.
• Possesses welldeveloped presentationskills and excellent interpersonalskills.
• Ability to manage largemultidisciplinary teams across a broad range oftechnologies.
• General knowledge of differentaspects of dry docking in line with industry standards includingclass flag and other regulatory/statutoryrequirements.
• Proven ability to solveoperational problems without supervision and deliver effectiveresults to internal clients.
• Understanding ofERP systems and relevant ISOstandards.
• Proficient in Word Excel PowerPointand MS Project.
• Excellent English communicationskills (verbal and written) required; knowledge of Arabic or otherlanguages isdesirable.
