Job Brief


We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to design and innovate our drone structures and components within the Research and Development team. You will be closely collaborating with Aerospace, Production, Electronics, and Software teams to drive design excellence and push the boundaries of technology.

Required Skills


  • Experience using CAD software (preferably SOLIDWORKS & CATIA) for part and assembly design.
  • Experience in part modelling & printing of the drawings, 3D sketching, advanced surface modelling and geometric analysis.
  • Strong fundamentals in Engineering drawing, Engineering design, Material Science, Mechanics of Solids and Engineering Mechanics.
  • Ability to solve problem statements using principles of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and mechanics in real life.
  • Able to provide technical support during assembly and installation of equipment.
  • Experience using 3D printers, the operating CNC machines, or generating toolpath using CAM software
  • Experience in handling, designing or manufacturing IC engines and their components



Desired Skills


  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel to the field to check the design functionality as needed.
  • Have an idea about the design tolerances (GD&T), manufacturing feasibility and ASTM standards.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary physics dependent components, Sub-system and System design


As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:


  • Engineer highly reliable mechanical components for UAV hardware, adhering to the design protocols.
  • Utilize CAD software to generate standardized designs and produce comprehensive assembly prints, design documentation, drawings, BOMs, and fabrication specifications.
  • Lead the development of new products, overseeing the entire process from prototype creation to production and flight testing.
  • Take ownership of the designed components and assemblies, overseeing their verfication, testing, and documentation from initial prototyping through to final product design.


Degree and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Applied Mechanics discipline
  • 3+ Years of relevant experience.
  • Any industrial experience in the form of internships or training is preferred.
