Job Description

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Drive Safety, health and environment related initiatives with ZERO is POSSIBLE attitude. Demonstrate good communication, excellent leadership skills & sound interpersonal relationship with an extensive experience in Operational Excellence roles in a large manufacturing multinational unit with best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a good level of understanding of business requirements linked to operations. Sound knowledge of SMART manufacturing operations and data analytics. Contribute to annual business operations strategy development Lead the design of the structure and road map for the operational excellence model through the integration of principles, behavior, systems, and tools. To work closely with Site Leadership and help them to identify opportunities for improvement in the areas of Quality, Cost, Productivity & Delivery and conducting gap analysis and driving OE projects by identifying the bottleneck areas. Build value stream mappings and ability to use Lean tools and DMAIC methodology in improvement projects. As Six Sigma coach, provide expert advice and assistance to Green Belts. Train, support, develop and coach plant leadership teams from statistics to change management and to process design strategies, Develop plans to integrate the Six Sigma approach in to the business strategy and deliver enhancement cost and process improvements. Guide Plant leadership team to improve plant performance and optimize cash flow to support business growth by applying Manufacturing Excellence Methodologies. Improve operational efficiencies & process capabilities using lean principles and six sigma techniques Monitor and ensure that teams are actively applying the Lean Process and Six-Sigma in a correct manner to solve chronic problems, remove waste and to plan new products. Monitor the progress and ensure that each location is aligning projects with business objectives and the strategic plan. Work closely with cross functional teams in identifying Savings projects under categories line Lean, Six sigma, Technology roadmap, Material sourcing etc. Coordinate closely with project leaders, ensure project schedule adherence, Validate project savings, Generate monthly savings report in alignment with finance Drive plant 5S implementation roadmap and challenge for a national level 5S award Motivate and drive towards Kaizen system across all the functions Continuously measures and monitors processes, risks and controls by conducting post-implementation reviews and project follow-up Responsible for driving the manufacturing, quality and process improvement initiatives throughout the plant Manage complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation in order to provide strategic solutions, recommendations & financial costings Build creative business requirements overcoming constraints of existing business practices and multiple sources of data Facilitate and ensure that high quality and complex business requirements are gathered to deliver appropriate fit for purpose solutions

The Successful Applicant

Qualification & Knowledge:
Qualification - in Industrial/Production Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Experience - Minimum 12 Years
Essentials :

Knowledge in Foundry, Machining, Robotics, Automation, Assembly & material handling. Knowledge of Value stream mapping. 6 Six sigma knowledge and sound knowledge of Lean is MUST ( Certification is MUST) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing including leading Kaizen events. ISO 9001:2015; ISO 45001; Toyota production system. Hands on experience in MS office.
