The Workday LMS Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management of Empower’s Workday Learning Management System (LMS). The role is responsible for creating courses, lessons, campaigns, ticket management and resolution, and reports, and completes regular data & metrics management within the Workday system. This role will have accountability for ensuring effective requirements identification, planning, integration, design, testing, reporting and support. The role provides input to Empower’s HR Information Systems (HRIS) team to inform system configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing implementation of Workday LMS to drive Empower’s learning and development strategy forward.
3+ years of work experience in roles utilizing Workday Learning and partnering with learning and development teams.
Prior experience as a Learning Management Systems (LMS) Administrator
Excellent communication skills - oral and written - and the interpersonal skills needed quickly to establish relationships of trust and collaboration.
Excellent time-management, project management and prioritization skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Advanced Excel skills
Manages administrative and technical aspects of the Workday LMS system, including uploading content, creating courses & curricula on the LMS, testing, assigning, maintaining, and reporting on learning content.
Maintains data integrity for the LMS, such as course descriptions, course or class changes, training content, materials, user groups, etc.
Manages and tracks enrollment in and completion of LMS compliance course content to ensure Empower compliance training is administered effectively and in accordance with Empower compliance policies.
Provide technical support, including troubleshooting issues, responding to tickets, system maintenance and integrity.
Participate in business meetings to understand the requirements/concerns and assist in presenting the issue and the solution.
Collaboratively work with others, including HRIS, talent management, customers, learning teams, technology teams, vendor partners, and business leaders to proactively manage the LMS and execute on learning and development deliverables.
Acts as subject matter expert for partners on how to best utilize Workday Learning.
Partner with content developers to test and ensure compatibility between eLearning content and the LMS.
Works with content providers and internal teams on the introduction of enhanced LMS functionality.
Demonstrates effective project and change management; communicates effectively and in a timely fashion.
Knowledge of system reports and ability to create custom reports.
Stays current on all learning technology and learning experience design evolution.
Ensure effective requirements identification, planning, integration, input into design and configuration, testing, reporting and support.
Makes recommendations for future improvements to content management, workflow processes, and user experience.
Ensure compliance with process, technology, and data requirements according to system governance.
Design the framework/process for global rollouts.
Give advice where required to design and develop digital learning solutions.
Liaise with external contacts to troubleshoot and solve system issues.
