We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts and Finance Specialist to manage the end-to-end finance and accounting operations for our US business process. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of US GAAP, federal/state compliance, tax regulations, financial reporting, and cross-border transactions. This role requires a proactive professional capable of working independently and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance for our US operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. End-to-End Accounting:

  2. Maintain general ledger and accounting records in accordance with US GAAP.

  3. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.

  4. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

  5. Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  6. Oversee vendor payments and customer invoicing for the US entity.

  7. Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.

  8. Reconcile bank and credit card statements.

  9. Financial Reporting:

  10. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for US operations.

  11. Support consolidated reporting for global financials if applicable.

  12. Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management.

  13. Compliance & Taxation:

  14. Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws (sales tax, income tax, etc.).

  15. Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for filings and audits.

  16. Manage 1099 filings and other US statutory requirements.

  17. Process Management:

  18. Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting policies.

  19. Streamline accounting processes for better accuracy and efficiency.

  20. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  21. Cross-functional Coordination:

  22. Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Operations teams on US-specific financial matters.

  23. Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and banks as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in US accounting and finance processes
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, federal & state tax laws, and compliance
  • CA-Intermediate/Final qualification would be an added advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in working with cross-border or offshore teams
  • Familiarity with intercompany accounting and currency conversions
  • Exposure to financial audits and SOX compliance is a plus
  • Knowledge of payroll processes for US employees is an advantage.
