Responsibilities :


- Work and contribute as an individual contributor while collaborating with the team on multiple deliverables.


- Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient backend services/jobs to handle large volumes of data processing.


- Set up and maintain columnar data stores like Clickhouse or similar to serve analytical reporting needs.


- Collaborate with team, including PMs, to understand requirements and architect the solution.


- Design data solutions that scale dynamically based on the tenant data size, ranging from a few GBs to TBs of data.


- Manage and perfect data streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka or Pulsar for real-time data ingestion.


- Lead juniors/peers to deliver high-quality solutions with high velocity.


Requirements :


- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.


- Experienced (6+ years) in building large-scale applications.


- Must have hands-on experience and detailed knowledge of multiple AWS services.


- Deep knowledge of EKS is a big plus.


- Expertise with multi-tenant systems.


- Expertise in working with streaming OLAP engines like ClickHouse, Druid, Pinot, and similar technologies.


- Expertise with Apache Trino is a big plus.


- Good knowledge of streaming solutions like Kafka or Pulsar.


- Strong programming skills with Python.


- Should be a torchbearer when it comes to coaching the team for good coding practices.


- Strong team player and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.


- Proven leadership skills in managing small teams.


- Results-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.


- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
