Principal Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of end to end payroll for more than 10,000 employees.
- Verify attendance records, leaves, and other inputs (Earning/Deductions) to calculate employee salaries accurately.
- End to end payroll vendor management.
- Validating draft and final paysheets
- Salary revisions for min wage, part time to full time conversions, and other CTC related changes
- Managing compliances and related payments on a timely manner such as PF, ESIC, LWF, PT etc.
- Managing policies and flexi payments, incentives, relocation, LTA, food vouchers etc.
- Full and Final settlements (F&F calculations, payments, recoveries, reliving letters, form16, etc.)
- Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to reconcile payroll-related accounts. (Salary JV, Cost MIS, etc.)
- Handle payroll audits and respond to queries from auditors and government officials.
- Manage employee queries by explaining payroll concepts, policies, and procedures in a clear and understandable manner.
- Streamline payroll processes and identify opportunities to automate payroll tasks to reduce human errors
- Lead and motivate the payroll team by providing guidance, support, and feedback.
- Listen to and address concerns or feedback from team members with empathy and respect
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, HR, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Payroll Manager, handling large-scale payrolls (5000+ min wage employees).
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processing procedures, laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Able to manage payroll tasks independently without any follow-ups.
- Proficient in MS Excel
