Role Overview:

We are looking for a Piping Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The role involves designing and developing piping systems for oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of piping layouts, stress analysis, international design codes, and 3D modeling software. This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work remotely while attending site visits and key project meetings near Nagercoil.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings.

· Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and piping specifications in accordance with project requirements.

· Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).

· Collaborate with process, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams for integrated plant design.

· Perform basic piping stress analysis and coordinate with stress engineers for complex systems.

· Support FEED and detailed engineering activities for oil & gas projects.

· Assist in resolving technical issues during procurement, fabrication, and installation.

· Participate in design reviews (HAZOP, model reviews) and ensure all safety and operability aspects are addressed.

· Coordinate with vendors and contractors to finalize design deliverables.

Qualifications:

· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

· 3–8 years of experience in piping design for oil & gas or petrochemical projects.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDMS / E3D, or Plant 3D software.

· Knowledge of piping codes, standards, and material specifications.

· Experience in reviewing vendor drawings and coordinating interdisciplinary deliverables.

· Good understanding of layout design for process plants.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
