Job Summary:

The Delivery Manager oversees the successful delivery of projects and services within an organization. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, and maintaining high-quality standards. The Delivery Manager is a key point of contact between the client and the project teams, ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Lead project planning sessions, setting project goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage project changes and risks, ensuring successful project delivery

Team Management:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and effective communication.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Monitor team performance, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Resolve conflicts and ensure a positive working environment.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Regularly communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Manage client feedback and implement necessary improvements.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all projects adhere to company quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews and audits of project deliverables.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for project delivery.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met.
  • Manage project financials, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure profitability of projects by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively manage and escalate risks as necessary to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, IT, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Project Manager, or in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Experience in client-facing roles, with a track record of managing and delivering complex projects.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or similar certifications are highly desirable.
