Job Title: SME - Procurement & Supply Chain

Location: Chennai

Shift: Must be willing to work in Night Shifts (US/UK time zones)

Experience: Minimum 4 Years in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics within industrial/manufacturing domains

What you will do

You will be responsible for managing inventory and supply parts to meet anticipated demand. You will be focused on securing material readiness by working hands-on with our international supplier base, as well as our internal logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and engineering teams. Maintain an excellent relationship with the international supplier base and work proactively to solve and negotiate solutions to problems as they occur.

  • Monitor and manage KPI for responsible assortment, such as parts availability, back orders, supplier delivery precision, days of supply.
  • Adjust forecast based up on data and experience to ensure availability targets are met
  • Deep dives and root cause analysis to understand issues and help find solutions to prevent them from occurring again
  • Drive corrective actions towards stakeholders (suppliers, purchasing, commercial etc. with the purpose to solve problems)
  • Escalate re-occurring problems that does not get enough attention
  • Continuous improvement of systems and processes within Logistics by creating or reviewing existing standard work
  • Support various ongoing Supply Chain projects and supplier initiatives to ensure project needs and timelines are met in best possible way

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain field, or equivalent
  • 4 years experience working with Supply chain in an industrial setting
  • Fluent in English and additional languages are a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data, and translate it into actionable options
  • Experience from having worked in an international fast-paced setting
  • Experience in working with ERP systems (SAP preferred), warehousing and production planning process
  • Its meritorious if you also have knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing
