About the Role:TranquilMind is building a mental wellness platform that blends science, empathy, and innovation. As our UI/UX Designer, you’ll craft calming, accessible, and emotionally resonant interfaces that support therapeutic outcomes. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and clinical experts to translate mental health frameworks into intuitive user journeys, visual metaphors, and immersive design experiences.Proficiency in advanced 3D design software, specifically Blender, is essential.You will be directly responsible for designing and prototyping theimmersive 3D environments, therapeutic visual metaphors, and interactive spatial interfacesthat are core to our platform's next-generation AR/VR experience. This is a hybrid role demanding deep UI/UX expertise coupled with 3D modelling and animation skills.Current compensation and salary structure:⏳ Initial Commitment (3–6 Months)Part-time and flexible: Minimum of 2/3 hours per dayRemote and task-based collaborationWeekly sync-ups for alignment and progressCompensation Model (Pre-Funding Phase)No salary or cash compensation initiallyEquity-only: Offered based on contribution, with formalisation post-fundingTransition to Core Team (Post-Funding)Role evolves into a full-time, core team positionReceive a competitive salary and comprehensive benefitsSignificant sweat equity (2–3x above standard early-joiner packages) as recognition for early commitment and impactResponsibilities:The candidate is expected to own the UI/UX, 3D design pipeline and integrate spatial concepts directly into the therapeutic experience.Design user-centred, responsive interfaces using Figma.Develop and maintain a modular design system aligned with brand and therapeutic goals.Translate mental health concepts into emotionally intelligent design flows and metaphors.Design, model, and texture all in-app 3D assets and immersive environments using Blender(e.g., low-poly calm spaces, interactive therapeutic objects, character companions).Own the 3D pipeline from concept to engine-ready asset,ensuring 3D designs areoptimised for mobile AR/VR performanceand emotionally aligned with clinical goals.Prototype and test AR/AI-enhanced features(including spatial interfaces) in collaboration with product and clinical teams.Conduct user research and usability testing to ensure the app fosters a tranquil experience.Ensure visual coherence and accessibility across all user touchpoints.Advocate for ethical design practices, including transparency, consent, and user agency.Gather and analyse post-launch feedback to continuously improve the user experience.Requirements:5+ years of experience in UI/UX design for mobile applications.Strong portfolio showcasing emotionally resonant, user-centred design,with a dedicated section demonstrating advanced 3D modelling and texturing capabilities.Expertise in Figma for interface design, prototyping, and design system management.Experience designing for AR/AI-enhanced user experiences.Expert-level proficiency in Blender , demonstrable through portfolio work, includingmesh modelling, UV mapping, texturing (PBR workflow), and scene lighting/rendering (Cycles/Eevee).Proven experience exporting optimised assets(e.g., .gltf, .fbx) for use in real-time environments (e.g., Unreal or AR frameworks).Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Material Design, Fluent UI).Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA) and responsive design principles.Understanding of cognitive load, behavioural UX, and emotional design,specifically how these principles apply to 3D and spatial computing.Bonus:Experience in mental health, wellness, or emotionally sensitive domains.Soft Skills:Empathetic storytelling and the ability to visualise therapeutic metaphorsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsComfort with ambiguity and iterative prototypingAbility to advocate for user needs while balancing clinical, technical, and product priorities
